Research Plan

Te Rautaki Rangahau Research Plan is the University鈥檚 strategic plan for research excellence and impact, underpinned by and delivering on the 糖心Vlog Strategy.

Te Rautaki Rangahau Research Plan 2026鈥2030 was developed through consultation with University staff, committees, and other groups, and was adopted by the University Council at the end of 2025.

Implementation of the Strategic Initiatives within the plan is led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, with support from Associate Deans Research in each academic division.

The Plan is guided by four Pou: K艒tihitihitanga; Whanaungatanga; Whaipainga; K艒tuituitanga. It has nine objectives, with strategic initiatives to deliver on each.

    Upholding the articles and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in our research activities.

    Strengthening research presence in Tauranga.

    Developing a health research focus.

  9. Objective 9

    Encourage research collaboration across the University.
